Reports - Slow Reports

Reports can be slow for myriad reasons, some that can be easily fixed, some that are design issues, some that should be reported.

We are happy to look at slow reports. Review the information on this page, and if you don't see a solution, send a link to the report to support@legalserver.org. Important: If the report is not slow with the default filters, let us know which filter settings make it slow.

Recently Fixed

  • If you have an "Assignment List" column on your report from the Case Data > Current Assignments subtable, delete that column, then add the "Current Assignment List" field from that same subtable.
  • The Case Data > Adverse Party Summary subtable and Adverse Party Summary with Address subtable available in reports have been replaced with fields available directly on the top level Case Data table. If you have reports still using either subtable, delete the subtable and replace it with the desired field.

Custom Alternatives to Things that Need to be Fixed

  • The Case Data > Matter Last Service subtable (contains fields about the most recent timeslip on a case) can make a report slow. If you delete the field(s) coming from that subtable and your report is noticeably faster, email support@legalserver.org with a link to your report and we can make a substitution that is less slow.
  • The Case Data > Most Recent Note Time subtable (contains fields about the most recent note on a case) can make a report slow. If you delete the field(s) coming from that subtable and your report is noticeably faster, email support@legalserver.org with a link to your report and we can make a substitution that is less slow.
