Verifying Time (Optional Feature)
Purpose: Periodically prompt users to electronically verify their time, by reviewing and submitting a form.
Cost: There is no charge to implement this feature.
Compare: This feature provides a relatively simple means of prompting users to verify their time. It is sufficient for many organizations. The more robust Electronic Verification of Time by Users and Supervisors module operates on a pay period basis, and provides both electronic confirmation of time by users and electronic verification of time by supervisors (or administrative staff).
Note: This feature is distinct from the verification feature within the Advanced Grants Management module and the Electronic Verification of Time module. It should not be enabled on sites using either of those modules.
Site administrators enable this feature on the Admin > Timekeeping Settings page.
Each user role that has users who will need to verify time must have the "Messages" option checked to display in "Viewable User Stripe Items".
Administrators can review a list of verifications by period on the Admin > Verify Timekeeping page.
When enabled, this feature displays "Verify Time" links in the Messages widget (new interface) or sidebar (legacy interface).
Clicking one of the links displays a form showing the hours recorded for the period, and a Verified field and Notes box allowing the user to verify those hours.
