Case Notes Block

The old way to display case notes entered on a case/matter. See the Case Note List block.

We do not have plans to remove this block, but new development is unlikely.

Also noteworthy is that the filter options are not reliable.

Configuration Options

• View Only - this option must be selected if this block is used on a form instead of a profile page.

Case Notes versus Case Note List

Below is a comparison of how notes look displayed by the Case Notes block (first image) and the Case Note List block (second image).

• The Case Notes block (first) always displays the full body of each note. The Case Note List block (second) collapses long body text and displays an expand triangle by default.
• Both blocks can be used on different tabs on a case profile to increase user satisfaction.
