Changes and Updates
🕚 Effective for demo sites on 2021-10-28, then on live sites on 2021-11-05. 🕚
LS-77416: GAR Self Inspection case lists now include a "Matter/Case ID#" column. While there, we fixed the columns that weren't sorting properly. And we added All The Filters (LS-77417).
LS-77456 (et al.): Exciting API stuff, like "Add User", "Get User", and "Patch User". Read all about it in the API Documentation Change Log.
LS-78784: Sites with SharePoint integration will find a new "Save Inbound Email to SharePoint" setting on the Admin > Documents page. Off by default, enabling it will store emails sent to a case in the SharePoint Documents "/emails" folder. Attachments will be stored in an "/emails/attachments" folder. The standard LegalServer case note will still be created, but without attachments.
LS-80384: We've replaced the "Reset" icon on the Dropbox Documents list with a shinier, friendlier "Refresh" icon. It has descriptive hover text, which we will let you discover on your own.
LS-80655: Viewing a calendar event that is an appointment slot showed the event Type as a number. Testing revealed that showing "Client Appointment (Block Schedule)" instead of the number reduced cognitive load for viewers by 13.2%.
LS-80771: No one likes a tiny pie. So we fixed the thing that was causing your pie charts in reports to reset to a tiny box.
LS-81604: In the seemingly never-ending quest to let you hide every link in the Search menu by user role, you can now do this for the "Outreach" link. Head over to the Admin > Top Level Navigation Bar/Search page, and the Search tab thereon. What's left to hide? Tune in next week to find out.
LS-81719: Say you work at a site that has implemented "Restrict Calendar Events to User's Office or Program". And say you see a calendar event in a list and click on the Title to view it. Further, say that event is not linked to your office or program, and you are not an attendee. Would you prefer: (a) an error page; or (b) to land on the calendar page with a message telling you about your lack of permission? If your preference is (b), you'll like what this ticket does.
LS-81868: You can now add Date of Birth to your shiny Registrants module create form. And even make it required if you are just that nosy.
LS-81949: Report writers at some programs will sigh with relief as they see the "Custom" subtable under Case Data > Litigation - Multiple Rows per Case is available again. Bonus: Due to a Harlingen Level 1 situation, this fix will hit live sites this Friday, 2021-10-29.
LS-82006: The "Staff Verification of Non-Citizenship Documentation" block will once again save the user who entered information and the date they did it.
LS-82143: The Re-Open Case block gets a new configuration option, "Default Disposition to Pending". If you want to do such a thing.
Nearly 600 nice folks have been helping people for over 50 years. We hope they've had time to celebrate 9 years with LegalServer this month.
