Announcements Block

Displays one or more announcements on a home page.

Administrators configure them on the Admin > Site Settings page.

If multiple announcements are active, each is displayed for 5 seconds before the next one is displayed. An Announcement Scroll Speed Modifier lets you make each announcement display shorter or longer.

We recommend using titles like "Announcement 1 of 3", "Announcement 2 of 3", and so on, so people know there are multiple announcements and can tell where they are in the cycle.

If HTML is included in the configuration, it is displayed. Specifically, if you make a link like <a href="https://google.com">Google</a> , then you will see a clickable Google link on the home page.
