2023-05-10 Release Notes

News

🎉 Mizzou Law Veterans Clinic is live with LegalServer. 🎉

Changes

🔄 Effective on 2023-05-11 for demo sites, then 2023-05-19 for live sites. 🔄

API Mavens should visit the always informative API Changelog. Null data not returning rude 400 bad request errors, and so much more.

LS-90781: There is a new "Online Intake Maintenance Window" block. Designed to be placed on the first page of an online intake, it allows configuring a day of the week and start and end times during which an online intake application will display a "site maintenance" message instead of the intake. Useful for sites that have experienced failed applications because the destination site was being updated (typically very early morning hours on Fridays) when the hapless online intaker tried to submit their application.

LS-95748: Spelunking admins perusing the Admin > Metrics page were alarmed by the red "No Data" indicators for disk snapshots. Displaying the actual timestamps should have a calming effect.

LS-97866: The moving target that is HUD ARM Electronic Reporting.

💾 LS-99637: The shiny new file icons you may have noticed in some places will now display in all the places.

📋 LS-100293: Three list view elements -- Events (User), Event List, and Tasks -- have a new Client Name column available for your displaying pleasure.

LS-100393: If you send Gavel (formerly Documate) variables that are null, not set, or an empty string, it is unhappy. Be liberal in what you accept is a guiding principle, but okay, we will stop doing that.

🖊️ LS-100643: TipTap. Foundation laid and rough plumbing done.

LS-100752: Custom text field contents are now obfuscated/anonymized when that process is run on a demo site. [Screeds about which word is correct or better will not be read]

LS-100761: Implement HUD's Kafkaesque calculations for HUD AMI API Bands for households with more than 8 people.

LS-100935: AGM-enabled sites may be excited to see a new "Process for automated holiday accrual" selector on the Admin > Timekeeping Settings page. Select the process your folks use for adding holiday time and wonderful things can happen during Finalization.

⭐ LS-101041: When sending someone an external form, the default way they validate (to get to your shiny form) is by entering the client's date of birth on the case. The "text input" element would roll over and die if someone entered something like 01-01-1970 instead of 01/01/1970. Unfriendly. Extensive A-B testing on a representative sample of the population would surely have shown a statistically significant improvement in people successfully entering the DOB using a "date input" element. So that's what we went with.

LS-101140: Subsectioned crosstabs counting unique values could give unexpected column totals in some corner cases. Sharp corners removed.

LS-101220: Make the "Add Document (For InCert)" block work again. Seems like a good thing.

LS-101241: Have you added a CSV additional display format to a report? Have you clicked the edit pencil and been greeted with an empty white box of nothingness? Us too. Same for the less-used Totals Summary, Packed Bubble, and Word Cloud. Fixed all of them.

LS-101264: Your online intake of wonder is offering people the office appointment slots you carefully set up. Excellent. But the hapless applicants would select any slot and see "The selected date and time is no longer available", despite the slot being available. Oh my. Not good. Fixed.

LS-101292: Scheduling a case into an appointment slot? After you click the "Schedule" link, would you rather wait 2 seconds or 20 seconds for the slot event page to load? We thought so.

🙀 LS-101513: The Financial Information block stopped properly saving the value of Income Eligible on 2023-05-05. Ouch. All sites updated by noon Eastern that day.

😳 LS-101521: The user selector on Case and Client Alert pages was changed from a multi-select list of users to a search and select. The outcry was immediate, unambiguous, and unanimous. So we changed it back and updated all sites on 2023-05-05.
