SimpleJustice Messaging

This is a feature designed to connect Clients and Attorneys. It requires use and configuration of the Helpseeker Portal elements of SimpleJustice.

SimpleJustice allows for a back and forth conversation between the Client and a LegalServer Caseworker using Messages and Case Notes.

In SimpleJustice, the case or question will indicate that there are new messages available on the card.

Within the card, on the right side, you'll see a list of all the messages.

At the bottom of the messages is an option to add a new message.

Clients can delete the messages and hide them from the SimpleJustice Interface. Deleting changes the Note Type from "SimpleJustice Helpseeker" to "SimpleJustice Helpseeker Deleted". This way the content is not lost, but no longer present for the client.

On a case it would appear as:

Client Notifications

Clicking the bell in the top right will open the Notifications page.

This shows all current messages.

Clicking on one of the messages will mark it as read and remove the bold feature. Deleting the notification will delete the message

Creating a Message from LegalServer

To create a message for a client from LegalServer, go to Add a Case Note.

If Share Notes on SimpleJustice (see below) is enabled, the block has an additional option:

If you select Yes to Share the Note on SimpleJustice, the Note Type disappears because there is a required note type for the message. The subject of the Note is not displayed to the Client via SimpleJustice.

Sending a note from LegalServer will trigger an email notification to the client directing them with a new message to the case. The text of this message is hardcoded.

Site Configuration

The LegalServer Site needs to be connected to SimpleJustice and then configured to Share Notes on SimpleJustice.

This is a setting on the Site Settings Admin page. If this is not configured, you will not see the Share Notes on SimpleJustice option for Case Notes.
