2024-01-10 Release Notes
News
Everyone is excited as the following sites prepare to go live next week:
(RN staff was asked to point out that Livingston County (ahem, "LivCo") is the source of Cool Whip and Lunchables [citations needed], and that the Couple's Welding Workshop is Sunday)
Changes
🔄 Effective on 2024-01-11 for demo sites, then 2024-01-19 for live sites. 🔄
API Mavens should check the always interesting and informative API Changelog. Including, but not necessarily limited to: GET/Search endpoints are moving to general access. Create/Update Event/Tasks are moving into the Premium APIs.
LS-83824: The expense entry type "No Expenses" will now etransfer.
LS-89436: Reduce the load time when editing forms. Depending on what is on the form you are editing, substitute "reduce the load time by a lot".
LS-109523: The "From" and "To" phone number filters on the sitewide SMS page will now produce results the average human would expect. (Also known as: Boats and regex statements need anchors)
🌎 LS-101138: You've got the Online Financial Information - Detailed block in your Guided Navigation dialogue of wonderment. Your online intake site has multiple language support. You expected the instruction and label text you so lovingly entered for the other languages in that block to save. Expectations will be met after this fix lands.
LS-105602: Accessibility: Set the alt text on logos on sites to '' (empty string).
LS-105790: Accessibility: Added hints so screen readers can announce "Remove filter Foo = Bar" when focus hits a removable filter in a list view.
LS-107413: Assuming you use the Rich Text Editor for notes, would you rather your note drafts display "<b>Foo</b> <u>bar</u> <i>baz</i>" or "Foo bar baz"? We hope you like our choice.
⭐ LS-108809: We are changing SMS alerts on cases so they create Case Alerts instead of standalone, separate (and less functional) alerts. Ever wondered who dismissed an SMS alert and when? Yeah, no such information. Now there will be, like there is for other case alerts. SMS alerts created before this change lands are not affected, but yes, you will eventually be able to sunset displaying the old ones. The new alerts will take the form "Case Alert Received from 5555551212: Did you win my case yet?".
[Correction: This was announced a week early]: ✒️ LS-109754: The Admin > Site Settings page gets a new "Enable New Notes Editor (TipTap)" setting. Enabling this will replace the existing editor with the modern, shinier TipTap editor. 9 out of 10 testers deemed it a more pleasant and improved experience. (We're fairly sure Virginia actually likes it too, but clicked the sad face icon in the survey by accident.)
LS-110124: The Case Note List block will now let you filter on active and inactive Note Types.
LS-110256: If you choose to display Case Status in the Disposition block, you do not need to also display the Case Status Start Date. It will happily get set to the current date and time whilst hidden.
LS-110277: "Allow Hyperlinks in Excel Export (Report and Listviews)" on the Admin > Site Settings page has been moved into the Reports section of that page. 89.3% of the people asked said that's where they would look for it.
