2024-02-28 Release Notes

News

  • Summit Legal Aid is the name of the merged Southwestern Pennsylvania Legal Aid and Laurel Legal Aid. The LegalServer news is that we've completed importing Laurel's data into the renamed SPLA (and boy are Jeff's fingers tired). Both organizations went live with LegalServer in 2016.
  • Texas RioGrande Public Defender becomes its own LegalServer site (TRPD), taking much of its data from the existing LegalServer site Texas RioGrande Legal Aid (TRLA).

Changes

🔄 Effective 2024-02-29 for demo sites, then 2024-03-08 for live sites. 🔄

API Mavens should check the always interesting and informative API Changelog.

🎼 LS-108297: API mavens have pined for the Admin > Outgoing API Log to sort descending (newest first) and for the API Request and API Response to be nicely formatted JSON instead of blobs of text. Pine no more.

⭐ LS-108961: The "Case Status History (For Editing)" list view that surely adorns your dynamic Case Status change form and/or your case profiles gets a new "Days in Case Status" column. If you guessed that it would show the number of days from Start Date to End Date (or today if no End Date), you would be correct.

[Correction: This change was not released this week] 🔨 LS-109322: The "Default Overrides Existing Value" configuration options in the Problem Code/Special Problem Code block work for Legal Problem Code, but not Special Legal Problem Code. Seemed unfair, and confusing. Now it will work for both.

🔃 LS-111314: You've tried mightily in your Lookup Transform Index to map one of your rows to "Null or missing in LegalServer", but it just won't stick. Stickiness restored by this ticket.

🗒️ LS-112005: You've read about how note drafts on case notes are now linked to the case whence the draft was created. You were excited. Then disappointed when that wasn't happening on your site. It turns out that if you don't expose the Note Type field on your Add Case Note form, the linkage is indeed not done. It will be after the fix in this ticket lands.

🖊️ LS-112009: You enabled the new TipTap rich text editor (on the Admin > Site Settings page) and were enjoying the modern interface and new capabilities, until you tried to edit Instruction elements in your Guided Navigation segments of wonder and your changes didn't save. Prose preserved permanently after this fix lands.

📦 LS-112128: The Case Title field accepts a lot of text, but the edit box that only lets you see 20 characters at a time makes adding and editing that text difficult. Box enlargement project completed in this ticket.

▶️ LS-112220: The "Verify" button below the "Expense Reports to Verify" list could occasionally just refresh the page and require another click. Primarily seen above the 45 ° N parallel, but confirmed as far south as 30° N. This ticket should make the button consistently do its thing with only one click.

🆕 LS-112238: We've added a County multiselect to Charge lookup values. This can be used with the Enhanced Charges block to filter the charge search based on the case's county of dispute. A charge lookup value that has no counties set will not be filtered out. Likewise, if a case has no county of dispute set, no filtering on county will occur.

🚒 👨🏼‍🚒 LS-112312: Online intakes on demo sites started opening to pages of error despair on Thursday. Fix pushed out that morning at 10:55 AM Eastern. 5 minutes to spare before the original reporter's 11:00 AM meeting.

👨🏼‍🚒 🚒 LS-112342: If you tried to add subtables to a report on your demo site on Thursday, you were stymied until 5:17 PM Eastern.

🚒 👨🏼‍🚒 LS-112380: Edit pencils in the Litigations list view started appearing as the somewhat less helpful "missing column edit" on Friday. Returned to their full glory on 2024-02-23 at 6:02 PM Eastern.

👨🏼‍🚒 🚒 LS-112437: If you sent your client or other person a link to an External Form on Sunday, they may have reported getting an error after entering their DOB (or other validator). Fixed pushed out everywhere on 2024-02-25 at 6:02 PM Eastern.
