2024-03-27 Release Notes

News

🚀 Everyone involved is excited as Office of the St. Clair Public Defender prepares to go live next week.

Changes

🔄 Effective 2024-03-28 for demo sites, then 2024-04-05 for live sites. 🔄

API Mavens should check the always interesting and informative API Changelog.

🏟️ LS-75680: If you need stats on organizations that refer cases to you, you will be pleased by the new Case Data > Referring Organizations (one row per referral) subtable in reports.

⭐ LS-105774: A site administrator has an intake configured such that a hapless user can hit a conflict check form when there is no client name. Why? We don't know, but in the interest of not showing those unfortunate users an error about the misconfiguration, we're going to start showing them a friendly note instead: "A conflict check could not be run because this record has no applicant name to check."

LS-106139: If your batch survey communication list spans multiple pages, and you check 7 boxes on page 1, none on page 2, and 5 on page 3, then click Continue, how many are sent? If you answered 5, you are correct. Surprised, possibly irked, but correct. We'll send 12 after the fix in this ticket lands.

🖨️ LS-108106: Print profiles will sometimes not display part of the profile. Seems to happen most often in half-width sections. A valiant effort to stop the sporadic blankness is being applied.

⭐ 🔨 🎉 LS-109776: The Recommended Documents block gets some long sought after configuration goodness. Don't want a default filter on the case's Special Legal Problem Code? Uncheck the new option to turn it off. Same for Funding Code, Legal Problem Code, Office, Programs, Client's Language, and County. But wait, there's more. A new multiselect Default Filter on Document Types. A filter for Language on the front end. Making the Download column the rightmost column. So much to enjoy.

LS-110215: A sectioned column in your report has linkified contents. Looks great on the report, but painful when exported to Excel and the raw "<a href ..." text appears. Pain alleviated.

⭐ LS-111530: Want to force people to enter a note on your shiny dynamic task form? Surely you will be pleased to see the new "Hide Add Note Button (Always Show and Require Note)" configuration option in the Task Note block.

📅 LS-111879: Dynamic calendar event mavens may be intrigued by the new Litigations block available for your shiny forms that will let you link a Litigation record on a case to an event on that case.

LS-113008: System Log report runners have been running into errors depending on the contents of the nice Changes column. We promise to always check for arrays and treat them as such instead of as errors.

LS-113076: If you expose (or default) Document Type in the Add Document, Add Document with Title, and Add Case Note blocks, and have two or more of those blocks on the same form, you didn't expect all the uploads on the form to get the same Document Type did you? Of course not. And now they won't.

🇨🇦 LS-113138: Should the Province, Country, and Postal Code collected by the Address International block be included in electronic case transfers? Oui.

LS-113302: If you replace my_shiny_template.rtf with even_shinier_template.rtf, we will reflect the new name in the Filename field. Less confusing that way.

LS-113318: If your site has SharePoint integrated, and set to store files generated from LegalServer document templates in SharePoint, you shouldn't get an errant error popup. Now you won't.

LS-113273: The HUD AMI API has started occasionally returning mysterious error responses of "0" (zero). Let's start logging this to the API Outgoing Log to see what DC is upset about.

LS-113378: Uploading files on a case that are going to be automatically moved to SharePoint could result in annoying errors, albeit with the files nearly always being properly moved to SP. So we'll do our best to not show you the error.

🚒 👩🏼‍🚒 LS-113537: Rejecting a pending case transfer resulted in an error starting Friday (2024-03-22). Fixed everywhere at 10:32 AM Eastern that day.

👨🏼‍🚒 🚒 LS-113571: Boise raised the alarm that demo sites could not edit case notes. Fixed for the Gem State (and all other states and countries) on 2024-03-22 at 7:09 PM Eastern.
