Court Integrations

LegalServer can integrate with your local court system to automatically populate Cases, Events, and more. These integrations look different depending on your courts database structure.

Cost: Dependent on the court system. Additional cost may be incurred if fields outside our current available field list is required.

Existing Examples

Harris County District Clerk

For one Harris County, Texas client, we've been granted access to a custom API endpoint that provides LegalServer with details around new Cases, Assignments, Charges, Events, Bonds, and Holds. A full data set is provided whenever anything changes in the court's database.

Delaware County Pennsylvania, AOPC

After working with AOPC and our client organization, LegalServer has been able to subscribe to an XML feed of cases in this county. This provides regular updates on Cases, Events, Litigations, and Charges.

New York City Courts

LegalServer has access to the UCE extract of criminal court data in New York City. This allows us to get a large sample of all updated court records multiple times a day. We then update the Cases, Events, and Charges on the cases within LegalServer.

Considerations in New Implementations

There are a number of things to consider when implementing these integrations. These include:

• Is this a replication of an existing Court Integration or are we starting with a new configuration?
  • Replicating an existing integration will require aligning lookups and fields to the existing integration.
• Can the Court push data or does LegalServer need to retrieve it?
• Is new data available on individual records or are they batched in some fashion?
• What fields are available in the data feed?
• How well do the lookup values in the feed map to LegalServer fields? This is especially a concern for Charges, Courts, and Users.
• How can we match the incoming cases to existing cases within LegalServer?
