API Logs

In the Admin settings, there are two different API Logs.


API Log

This covers external APIs interacting with LegalServer. The rightmost column is an error message. You may need to scroll the screen far to the right to see that message.

Legacy API calls may not show up here.

API Logs are stored for six months.

Exceptions

Some Internal LegalServer features will also write to this log.

Specifically:

  • Content Viewer to view files in LegalServer
  • Office for the Web (OFTW) to edit files stored in LegalServer
  • Guided Navigation Configuration to see the options for a field.

Outgoing API Log

This is a log of API calls made from LegalServer to other sites. This Includes the Generic Outgoing API Block and the Guided Navigation API calls. The HUD API features (including the AMI Category) will make two API calls.

Many LegalServer features that rely on outbound API calls are not included in this log. Think Twilio, SharePoint, Geocoding, etc.
