What "On a Sprint" Means

Have you been told your ticket is "on the current sprint", or "on the next sprint", or is being "nominated for the next sprint", or similar?

What does that mean?

Our work week, which we call a sprint, runs from Thursday to Wednesday.

On the current sprint: Something will be ready for testing on the upcoming Wednesday, if it passes testing, the change/fix/etc. will be on demo sites the next day, Thursday, and will be on live sites a week from that Friday.

On the next sprint: Say you are told this on a Monday. Something will be ready for testing a week from Wednesday. If it passes testing, the change/fix/etc. will be on demo sites a week from Thursday, then two weeks from Friday.

On the (some date) sprint: We plan to have a change or fix ready for testing on that date. If it passes testing, the change/fix will be on demo sites the next day, and lives sites a week from that Friday.
