Activity Type Block

The Activity Type block presents a dropdown list of values on a timeslip.

The values come from Admin > Lookups > Timekeeping Activity Types.

When the Activity Code block is placed on a form after this block, the values displayed for Activity Code are limited by the Activity Type selected.

Configuration Options

Default to Non-Client Activity Code preference.

• The preference, if any, that the user filling out the timeslip has set.
• Note: "Code" in the name is incorrect. The user preference is "Timekeeping: Default (non-client) activity type".

Limit choices to non-client types

• This option hides lookup values that are hardcoded as 'case_related' or 'other_matter_time'.
• For most sites, this includes the system values "Case Activity" and "Outreach Time" (sometimes labeled "Other Matter Time").

Default Activity Type

• A dropdown list of active Time Activity Type lookup values.

Required

• Force the user to make a selection or accept a default if one is set.

Hide Activity Types

• A multiselect list of active Time Activity Type lookup values.

Limit choices to Project's types

• Only applies if the timeslip is invoked from a Project.
• Only displays active Activity Types that match a project activity type for the project.
