Find Forms using a Field

Ever wondered which forms use a field?

The Find Forms Configured With Field feature may help. This is an Actions menu link on field profile pages (custom and system fields).

Note well the disclaimer at the top of the results page: "Forms containing the bare Field element matter:close_date. If the field is displayed by a Block element, it is not listed."

The results will show you a clickable list of fields that contain the bare field.

Finding the Field to Start

You can get to a field's profile page via Admin > System Field Management or Admin > Custom Field Management and searching for it. It can be challenging to find the correct field among what may seem like duplicate results.

An easier way to get to at least some fields is to add the field to a form. The name of the field is a clickable link directly to the field's profile page.

You don't need to save the form. Add the field, click the link, then close the tab with the form open in edit mode, or move elsewhere without clicking Save.
