Client Addresses - US and Other Addresses
LegalServer is fairly US-centric, but does support addresses in other countries.
A US-based site typically uses the Address block.
The Address International block supports selecting a country.
The Address Extended block also allows selecting a country. It has a configuration option to prompt for a Country and will use a Postal Code field that accepts letters and numbers instead of the Zip Code field if the country selected is configured to use the non-US address format.
For both blocks, administrators configure the lookup values for the Country field in Admin > Lookups > Countries, although the defaults are likely sufficient. Each country has a value that indicates if the address displayed should be in US or non-US format.
For Address Extended, administrators will typically want to enable the "Address History Editing Uses Country" setting on the Admin > Process Settings page as well. This displays the Country field on the static address edit form.
We are in the US, but have the occasional client in Mexico/Canada/etc. What do we do?
If you would rather keep the Address block as the default, one option is use branch logic to do that, but allow users filling out the form to choose to enter an address in another country.
