2023-06-28 Release Notes

News

🗓️ ✒️ 💣 🎆 On Monday July 3rd, LegalServer staff will be celebrating the declaration of independence from British rule and the repeated injuries and usurpations of mad King George 3. A small but determined team of anglophiles will be on hand to respond to emergencies.

Changes

🔄 Effective on 2023-06-29 for demo sites, then 2023-07-07 for live sites. 🔄

API Mavens should read the first item below, and check the always informative API Changelog for updates and news.

LS-82066: New API role permissions were added to the Core APIs to allow more granular control over the results that will be returned from the GET and SEARCH Matter endpoints. Viz.: 1) API Get/Search Matter Full Results, 2) API Get/Search Matter Pro Bono Results, and 3) API Get/Search Matter Caller ID Results. NB1: Existing user roles that have either the API Get Matter or API Search Matter permission will get all 3 of the new permissions. Intervene and adjust if you want to limit. The "Full Results" permission allows the user to specify the results they want back. NB2: The "results" parameter will now default to the least restrictive results filter authorized for that API user.

LS-101094: For sites with Cause Number Identification enabled, the Related Cases list's "Case Number" column will show the cause number instead of the LegalServer case identification number. The same will happen in a document template that pulls Related Case information.

LS-101881: The often bountiful Charge lookup list now supports searching for a Statute Number, in addition to Name.

♻️ LS-102049: You've added a Menu Boxes element to, say, your Main Profile Boxes page. In the new element, you pick (surely by accident) Main Profile Boxes. Should we: a) detect and ignore the errant configuration, or b) never quite load any case profiles because recursive loops are psuedo-infinite? We went with "a" and think everyone will agree.

LS-103073: If an online applicant enters an individual adverse party, then decides to go back to that step and switch the AP to an organization adverse party (or vice versa), we will only store the most recent data, and not leave any vestige of the previous selections. Thus not confusing a hapless user who starts an intake on the received online application and sees AP conflict search results that look wonky.

LS-103209: You're using the Email PDF of Profile block in your online intake. Cool. But the profile you want PDF-ified contains a Guided Navigation Dialogue Runner block. That ended in sadness. This ticket will let you do such a thing.

LS-103218: Beta testers of the Contractor module [citation needed] may be pleased to see that Contractors can bulk select and submit draft invoices instead of being told they don't have permission to do that.

LS-103416: Sites with Multiple Language Support may be excited, or at least mildly interested, to hear that values in the following lookups can now be translated: HUD 9902 Ethnicity, HUD Disabling Condition, and HUD Veteran Status.

📦 LS-103488: Referral Packets and Publications that included templates stopped replacing template field markers with data from the case in the final PDF on 2023-06-21. Fixed on all sites as of 2023-06-26 at approximately 5:35pm Eastern.

🔢 LS-103498: The optionally displayed "Save Draft" button on notes, if used, started replacing the Body text of the note with a number on 2023-06-23. Fixed that morning on all sites.

🔐 LS-103499: Online intakes started prompting people for a password on 2023-06-23. Fixed that morning on all sites.

LS-103513: The automatic note draft save feature started saving multiple drafts of the same note on 2023-06-23. Fixed on all sites on 2023-06-26.

LS-103567: Got the Add Case Note block hidden by branch logic on an intake form? Got "Show Case Copy" enabled in the block? Probably not. But now you can, if desired, without hapless intake workers being sent back to the start of the intake if they don't expose and enter a note. Fixed on all sites on 2023-06-27.
