SimpleJustice Site Navigation

Users not logged-in to SimpleJustice and logged-in users of SimpleJustice will have different navigational elements on the site. Depending on their account status, logged-in users will have access to view the following site elements in the top navigation bar, in addition to Search.

Please note that site administrators have the ability optionally set-up Knowledge Resources and the Q&A Platform, so this may impact what users see depending on features available.

  • Volunteers - will be able to view and interact with volunteer opportunities, resources, and the Q&A platform
  • Individuals Seeking Legal Help  - will be able to apply for services at one or more LegalServer agencies, view status updates on those requests, and store documents depending on access permissions
  • Administrators - there are a variety of administrator levels on SimpleJustice that may be granted that will grant access to the aforementioned features and relevant management capabilities
    • Community Agency - generally, a legal aid agency that has their own instance of LegalServer that exchanges information with a SimpleJustice site. This user type will typically have administrative permissions on their instance of LegalServer and on SimpleJustice. If they are a part of a larger SimpleJustice community (i.e. a statewide instance of SimpleJustice), they will also have access to a Community Profile and Dashboard to be able to view and manage volunteers affiliated with their agency

If they are also the manager of the entire Community, they may have access to a Community Dashboard to view and manage

Organization - an organization to which volunteers are affiliated. An organization administrator will have access to an Organization Profile and Dashboard on SimpleJustice and will be able to view and manage volunteers affiliated with their organization
