Document Conversion

LegalServer has the functionality to convert files stored in LegalServer to either DOCX or PDF formats. Not all file types can be converted. This is designed to aid in editing or recording final copies of files.

New Style RTF Document Templates can be saved as MS-Docx files per a setting on the template configuration.

Files displayed in the modern treeview of the Document List can be converted to either PDF or DOCX depending on their initial file type.

For example, TXT, RTF, and DOC files can be converted into either PDF or DOCX. DOCX files can only be converted into PDF files.

Upon clicking the icon, you will open a new tab for the Document Profile of the file. The file name is going to be the same, but it will have the current timestamp appended to the file in _YYYY-MM-DD-HH-MM-SS-ss format. If you convert a file that already has a timestamp in that format at the end of the file name, the old timestamp will be replaced, not appended to.
