SharePoint Settings
LegalServer has introduced a new SharePoint Settings page to allow Administrators to manage their own Entra ID Apps, Certificates, and other settings.
This can be found at Admin -> SharePoint Settings.
It requires the User Role Permission, "Administer SharePoint Documents" to access.
At the top of the page is an Edit Link to update the values present.
Note that highlighted values are read from the site's configuration file (where the SharePoint settings have been historically stored).
The backend Configuration file will override values shown here. Let us know when you've added new values here and we'll remove our hard-coded configuration file.
The page is broken into five sections:
Authentication
The Application IDs and Secrets can be stored here. In the read only version, secrets are shown as ____EXISTING_VALUE____
. In the edit version, secrets are hidden like passwords. If Certificates are entered, these can be blank.
The Globally Unique Tenant ID is set by Microsoft. Directions on finding it can be found from Microsoft's help page.
Initial Default Library
The Initial Default Library section is critically important for any folders created when the SharePoint Folder and Library field is not set.
Do not change your Initial Default Library fields from what they were set when SharePoint was initially enabled.
Changing these fields could result in losing access from LegalServer to all of the SharePoint folders you've created to date (unless the SharePoint Folder and Library field is set).
SharePoint Certificates
This is a new feature. You will be asked to upload both the .cer and .pfx files for your certificate, along with the thumbprint, expiration date, and password.
Testing
This allows you to test if the App Auth application can properly get a token.
Optional Features
There are a couple of SharePoint Features that trigger additional settings. Those will show here as well.
