2023-06-14 Release Notes

News

Juneteenth is a holiday for LegalServer staff. A small but determined crew will be on hand to monitor operations and respond to emergencies.

Changes

🔄 Effective on 2023-06-15 for demo sites, then 2023-06-23 for live sites. 🔄

API Mavens should check the always informative API Changelog for updates and news.

LS-81153: The Clinics field on a dynamic user form will no longer be cluttered with inactive clinics. And the active ones listed might even be sorted alphanumerically if the stars align.

⭐ LS-86436: The Generic Lookup Selector block has been extended to work in the Timekeeping module.

📷 LS-96609: Will the Client Photo start working again in Flowblock blocks? Hopes are high.

LS-101286: The HUD Median Income API block gets some lookup value label improvements, some field label improvements, and will now show someone at 0% of poverty as being "Extremely Low (below 50%)".

👩‍⚖️ LS-101785: The Edit Documate Templates and Generate Documate Templates user role permissions were not being enforced. Users in roles without those permissions could still do those things. Fixed. And since Documate rebirthed itself as Gavel, the permissions have been renamed Gavel - Edit Templates and Gavel - Generate Templates. Just a label change — you will not need to redo permissions.

LS-102055: Mailchimp beta testers were irked because several fields could not be added to the Mailchimp Pro Bono Opportunity List. De-irked.

LS-102441: Took care of some situations wherein the Document Selection block could leave you with an error instead of a "packet".

LS-102587: Trying to remove a case from a Bundle that is no longer part of the bundle will now tell you that nicely and give you a link back to the bundle profile, instead of throwing a full page error of sadness and confusion at you.

LS-102591: A few sites were afflicted with the inability to export reports to PDF. No site left behind as of 2023-06-09.

🙋🏼 LS-102714: If you logout in one browser tab, forget you did that, and return to another tab where you have a form with a note on it, you could try typing in the note box (remember, you forgot you logged out in the other tab). Oh, a sad state of affairs if the background "save draft" feature kicked in, but couldn't do its thing (remember, you are logged out). Now you will see a nice human friendly message telling you what's going on: "⚠️ You are no longer logged in and your note draft was not saved."

🧭 LS-102736: Importing a Guided Navigation dialogue was a sad experience if the incoming dialogue tried to create a custom lookup list with the same name as one on the site. Resolution: When matching custom lookups, use UUID. If that doesn't match, create a new lookup. Make sure the new lookup name does not match an existing name.

LS-102813: Unexpected interaction on online intake forms between Headlines and Instructions was producing a "winky" layout. Turns out CSS for float:left; was being applied to H2 elements within div.small-12. That messed up headlines, so we shall not float.

📧 LS-102877: In rare instances, Google is rejecting email from LegalServer sites because it doesn't like the Headers. This ticket attempts to appease the Goog.

🤗 LS-102908: Last week's release note (LS-102094) about possibly needing to remove and re-add some Case Data > Custom Lookup fields in reports was troubling to many; understandably. Our developers went back to the drawing board and came up with an automagical fix. You may purge any anxiety about possibly needing to edit a whole bunch of reports.

⭐ LS-103069: County is now an available column and filter on the Outreaches list view, which powers many of the tabs on your dynamic Outreach section front. Or your "Non-Client Matters", "Projects", "Community Engagement", "Not Case Things", etc. section front.
