SimpleJustice Knowledge Resources

On SimpleJustice, volunteers and individuals seeking legal help can connect with knowledge resources and information to help with legal issues.

Individuals Seeking Legal Help

Once logged-in, via their user Dashboard, individuals seeking legal help will be able to view and save relevant resources under the “Legal Issues” section.  Saved resources will appear in their Dashboard for each log-in session. These will mirror the resources available to volunteers in “Knowledge Resources,” but will be a set of resources specifically curated for individuals seeking assistance.

Pro Bono Volunteers

Pro bono volunteers will be able to view, filter, edit, favorite and rate knowledge resources, once they have logged-in to the site.

Upon login, they may navigate to the “Knowledge Resource” feature in the navigation bar, where they can view materials relevant to them, created by their community.

Here, they may click into an individual resource to view more information. They will then see the option to download the resource or access the resource later via Dashboard > My Resources by clicking on the heart icon.

They will also be able to rate the resource by giving it a star rating out of five stars, entering in an optional review, and providing their name and email. Only the editors of the knowledge resource will see these reviews. Their star rating will be calculated as part of the average rating for other relevant audiences to view.

Pro bono attorneys may also view this in the relevant instance of LegalServer, if they have the correct permissions.
