SimpleJustice Knowledge Resources Administration

SimpleJustice dynamically consumes data associated with this feature in LegalServer and displays it for the appropriate users. Other features in LegalServer, such as Guided Navigation, may also be used to enhance the process. The Resources can be managed via the Knowledge Resources feature in the appropriate instance of LegalServer, which can be accessed via Admin > Knowledge Resources, if enabled on your instance of LegalServer.

Administrators can favorite resources, view resources, and create new resources from this view. Filters can be used in this view, too.

Clicking on the resource name will allow an administrator to view details about the resource, including average ratings and user reviews. Administrators will also see rules indicating where the resource will appear on SimpleJustice and available translations.

When updating or editing resources, administrators will complete details about the knowledge resource by completing the following key pieces of information about the resource:

  • Internal Name - this is the internal reference name for the document and will only be seen by LegalServer administrators
  • Resource Type - depending on the selection options made here, there may be additional questions the administrator will need to complete
  • Published - indicates whether the resource appears on SimpleJustice
  • Make resource available outside community and Communities having access - indicates which communities may have access to the resource for publishing

The administrator can also complete optional fields including audiences for which the resource will be viewable, locality (i.e. state, federal information), and legal problems and topics.

In the next section, administrators can add the user viewable details about the resource, including the resource language,  title, and abstract. Depending on the type of resource, administrators will be able to submit the resource text box, file upload, or URL.

Administrators will be able to provide the information above in other languages as well.

When completed and submitted, this information will automatically transmit to the relevant SimpleJustice communities and audiences for viewing via API.
