2024-05-08 Release Notes

News

Many of your colleagues left NTS2024 last week feeling informed, empowered, and joyful. Rumor has it that the in-person fall training will be in or around Philadelphia PA (or Lancaster County). Keep hitting refresh on the LegalServerLeah Instagram page (or watch the Siteadmins mailing list).

Changes

๐Ÿ”„ Effective 2024-05-09 for demo sites, then 2024-05-17 for live sites. ๐Ÿ”„

๐Ÿช„ API mavens should review the always interesting and informative API Changelog.

LS-84055: Asserted: "The Case/Matter - Prescreens list view should display clickable case numbers like every other list in the universe." We agree.

๐Ÿงšโ€โ™‚๏ธ LS-100321: A report based on the top level Todo table has a Case/Matter subtable. People wanting to report on outreach tasks felt left out. We hope they feel better after the Outreach subtable appears.

โคด๏ธ LS-112127: After you do a Field Transfer the list of transfers shows the status as "Declined". Was someone at the destination site sitting and waiting to decline the transfer the second it came through? No. The list will now show "Pending" until the destination site accepts or declines the transfer.

LS-112252: The Sharepoint Folder element available in a Flowblock will now display the name of the SP folder (usually the case number) if that folder exists, else "Sharepoint folder does not exist". Bonus: The element configuration in the Flowblock lets you pick your shiny auxiliary process to create a SP folder on a case and that makes the Sharepoint Folder label a clickable link to said process.

LS-113956: The Re-open Case block displays a Case Status selector, but as the last element, below the Notes. We hope you like where we moved it.

LS-114183: Restored the page total on the Amount column in the list displayed by the Edit Billing block. Also did some plumbing work to prevent rare, but annoying, errors when filling out the form.

๐Ÿ”ƒ LS-114561: Add a "Workflow Grouping" column and filter to the main Workflows list view, as well as the list view available for case profiles.

๐Ÿ“ง LS-114703: The Document Selection block lets you email a packet, but the email comes "From" the email address of the user filling out the form, so it can get trapped in spam filters or is outright rejected by the recipient's email server. New configuration options let you specify the "From" email address as "noreply@legalserver.org" or "noreply@yoursiteabbreviationgoeshere.legalserver.org".

๐ŸŒŠ LS-114706: Flowblock mavens know about Highlighting and Hiding fields based on their value. For boolean fields, instead of manually typing "Yes", "No", or "N/A", you'll now have a nice selector. Values for text fields will now accept a comma separated list of multiple values. Are lookup fields on the horizon? Could be.

๐ŸŽ—๏ธLS-114936: When adding an Enhanced Reminder, you're shown a Template selector. But what if your site doesn't have the SMS module? No templates for you. Until now. What if you haven't created any templates and never will. Must your hapless users look at any empty selector forever? Not forever.

๐Ÿ”ข LS-114946: If you have a Tab element on a case profile configured to show the active case alert count, you will likely be pleased by the number updating without needing to leave and return to the case.

๐ŸŒฉ๏ธ LS-115078: The Service Charges block [citation needed] gets a new "Require at least one related charge" configuration option.

๐Ÿ‘ฉ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿš’ LS-115116: The HUD Median API block (or the AMI Poverty Category block configured to use the API) started throwing an error if there was no County of Residence selected on a case instead of politely refusing to do its calculation. Politeness applied to all sites on 2024-05-07 at 4:03 PM Eastern. Related, but missed in last week's Release Notes, is that the API now works on the town level for New England states.
