Changes

🔄 Effective 2024-10-31 for demo sites, then 2024-11-08 for live sites. 🔄

🪄 API mavens should review the always informative and interesting API Changelog.

🌊 LS-90816: If you have a field in your Flowblock of awesomeness with no Viewable Dispositions checked, should that field always appear or never appear? It's currently the first one, but we're changing it to the second one. Nothing checked, nothing shown seems like a good rule.

🔒 LS-97626: If you affirmatively uncheck a Navigation Tab in a User Role, say the Outreach one, should sneaky/curious users with that role be able to add "/outreach" to the URL and see the section front? You didn't think so. We agree.

✒️ LS-110824: Phasing Out the Crusty Old Rich Text Editor Begins.

  • If you have already enabled the shiny new TipTap editor, you can skip the rest of this note.
  • Demo sites will have "Enable New Notes Editor (TipTap)" set to Yes tomorrow (2024-10-31).
  • For formatting in most notes that users care about, you will be able to flip that back to No and keep using the older editor for a while.
  • You will not lose the ability to turn off the Rich Text Editor via "Use Rich Text Editor for Notes".
  • This change will not roll out to live sites on 2024-11-08 as it normally would. We will do that explicitly in the near future - and announce it in a future edition of Release Notes.

💰 LS-116512: If you allow adding time when entering Activity records, grant filters on Office and Activity Code will no longer block those grants from being used.

📆 LS-118345: Guided Navigation mavens love setting the value of date fields in their dialogues of wonder. But are saddened by the lack of a "Set Date to Current Date" option. Joyful mavens we will have.

💸 LS-119009: The Supervised Assignments list view (that adorns many homepages) now has Funding Code as an available column like its frequent neighbor the Current Assignments list view.

😲 LS-120179: Inbound SMS message received with an attachment. Someone decides to delete the attachment. If you, dear administrator, click on that SMS log entry, should you get an error or see "Attachment: Document ID {big number appears here} is no longer available"? Surely you'll agree with our choice.

🔆 LS-120449: If you check the "Default Filter on Case's Programs" option in the Recommended Documents block, it will now display that filter in the filter bar instead of hiding it and frequently confusing all who gaze upon the list of templates.

🔢 LS-120934: The Charges list view will now properly display the Default Case Credit values you so lovingly entered on Charge lookup values, in all their decimal fullness.

🏚️ LS-121268: Sites doing HUD ARM Electronic Reporting will be excited to know we've made the changes relevant to HUD's announcement that "A new Activity Type reference value (Reference Group Id 38) has been published for the HUD FY 2024 Comprehensive Grant with a funding period of 10/01/2024– 09/30/2025."

☎️ LS-121400: Inbound SMS messages with more than one media (colloquially: attachments) will reliably list all of the attachments in the SMS Alert and case note.

🔀 LS-121420: If your application/code/thing making an API call to LegalServer sends an X-Forwarded-For header, we'll handle that properly now.

🚒 🧑‍🚒 LS-121553: Selecting "Show Government Generated ID" in the Adverse Party block caused a poor user experience (colloquially: an error page). Fix pushed out to all sites on 2024-10-25 at 2:30 PM Eastern.
