2025-11-12 Release Notes

News

🎉 Everyone involved is excited as these nice folks prepare to go live next week:

Changes

👉 👉 Effective 2025-11-13 for demo sites, then 2025-11-21 for live sites. 👈 👈

🪄 API mavens should review the always-informative, interesting, and ever-changing API Changelog.

🏥 📧 LS-127617: If you've ever wanted to send an email to the user you are assigning to a clinic event, you will certainly enjoy how easy it is to click a button and do that.

🚭 LS-129276: Should a user whose role does not have permission on your shiny Quick Case Copy process be able to use Quick Case Copy? Of course not. So we'll stop them with a "Permission denied" message.

⭐ 🗒️ LS-132277: Wouldn't it be grand if there was an Add Outreach Note block analogous to the Add Case Note block? It would be. It will be.

⭐ 🏥 🌊 LS-135126: Clinic Event is now an available module in Workflows. You get 3 trigger types and 4 trigger step types. What's not to like?

🔎 LS-135428: Should doing a People Search on only a middle name result in an error page of sadness and confusion? Of course not. So we'll stop doing that.

⭐ 🗃️ LS-135891: Uploading a file using the document folder tree (or "classic view") creates a new file with a bunch of random text added to the name if a file with the same name already exists in a folder. The new File Manager will prompt you, asking if you want to overwrite, cancel, or change the name of the file you are uploading.

5️⃣ LS-136215: Several visual improvements when editing forms in LS5, including right-aligned Edit links, and better borders, backgrounds, and shading in expanded elements.

⚡ LS-136495: Dragging fields in the Enhanced Charges block configuration is a sorrowful experience. Team Sorrow Removal has your back.

🌊 LS-136504: Workflow Contact Method options got shy on some sites. We're giving them the confidence to come out of hiding.

🦮 LS-136536: If your Guided Navigation segment of wonder sets a date field to default to the current date, or to the current date overriding an existing value, both will do what you hoped and dreamed they would.

➗ LS-136545: Editing a Project timeslip where the grant distribution allocation percentages have changed will now properly distribute the new time spent according to the updated percentages.

👩🏼‍🔧 LS-136616: When you are creating a contractor work order, should users with a child user role of the parent Contractor user role be available? You said yes, so we will make it so.

🤓 LS-136519: Accessibility: When playing a video within LegalServer, the elapsed time and total time of the video will be displayed in darker text so people with low vision or older eyes can read them.

⚒️ LS-136609: We're taking Bulk Edit Client Information on Associated Cases out of beta testing and making it available to all sites. It will still live behind a user role permission so site administrators can decide who can use it.

🗃️ LS-136715: Make the File Manager play nice with Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave, ad nauseam) trying to upload files that are 2 GB or larger.

LS5

Are you testing LS5? You may find the following useful, interesting, or both.

LS-128692 & LS-128691 - We wanted to make sure your tickets come through with all the information where it should be. This works ensures that.

LS-127675 - Admins adding actions may have observed that, when expanded, the menu boxes moved to the right of the process list. This puts them back below, where they belong.

LS-136215 - Fixes the width so the Enabled and Disabled sections match when editing forms and profiles.

LS-136154 - This ticket reformatted Adverse Parties in Flowblock.

LS-136401 - The Address block was forgetting county and city when Zip code was entered. This ticket helped to remind it.

LS-136325 - We wanted the Actions menu to pop, and now it pops more.

LS-136442 - The list view slideover was interfering with the ability to copy a field. Interference banished.

LS-136665 - If your list view filters throw an error, should you have to log out to restore them? No, you should not.
