2025-01-15 Release Notes
News
Martin Luther King Jr. Day (Monday 2025-01-20) is a day of reflection and opportunity to participate in events for LegalServer staff, but there will be people watching for emergencies.
Changes
π Effective 2025-01-16 for demo sites, then 2025-01-24 for live sites. π
πͺ API mavens should review the always informative, interesting, and ever changing API Changelog.
π¦Ύ LS-119468: Filters on the various lists available on a Remote Case profile will be even more robust than they already are.
ποΈ LS-120349: The Enable New Notes Editor (TipTap) setting (on the Admin > Site Settings page) will be set to Yes on all live sites on 2025-01-24. Demo sites have already been so set. You will still be able to change it to No so people that want to use a Rich Text Editor can use the crusty old editor. However, that option will be going away in the future as we bid adieu to the old editor.
π·πΌββοΈ π§ LS-122539: The Admin > Contractor Settings page gets two new settings, viz: Disputed Transaction Email Subject and Disputed Transaction Email Body. Each setting has a helpful "?" icon that tells you the placeholders you can use to insert things like the transaction ID, contractor's name, permit number, and so on.
π· LS-122657: If you uncheck Show Action Column? in the Family Members list view, should it persist in showing the Action column and a red delete "x" on each row? No it should not. And it shall not.
π’ LS-123100: If Estrella changes her office to work on a different set of cases, a default office filter on the main Cases list will immediately reflect the change instead of making her wait (or refresh the page many times).
π LS-123486: Added a plethora of configuration options to the Organization Client Information block needed to show (or not) things. Fixed the arrangement of the options for a more joyful configuration experience.
π« LS-123488: You put the Address block on a Person module form (of course you did). Works great, but displaying the zip code instruction twice and a Notes box you can't disable mars the experience. Bend the block to your will super admin. Bend it like Beckham.
π€ LS-123513: You're adding case contacts to a case via the Person module and collecting Language on your person form of wonder. You discover that the Language field isn't included when you transfer that case to another site. You are so very sad. Prepare for joy.
π·πΌββοΈ LS-123551: Contractor mavens discovered that adding a timeslip on a flat rate billing transaction just wouldn't work. Now it will.
π LS-123609: Flowblock mavens who have charges may be interested in the new Top Charge w/ Penalty Class field that is available.
β‘ LS-123611: The Charges list view will now display the charge note (if one is entered) in a row below the basic charge information. If the note is bountiful it will be collapsed and display an icon to expand it (like case notes work).
β‘ LS-123663: If you've configured the Enhanced Charges block to default the top charge, we'll no longer display the message that "One (and only one) of the charges must be selected as a Top Chargeβ. Because, you know, you selected it.
π LS-123764: Got a bountiful list of templates (colloquially: Recommended Documents) on cases? Has that list been slow to load? Prepare to rejoice. (The phrase 'order of magnitude faster' has been bandied about, but not rigorously proven with annotated charts and graphs.)
π LS-123779: Clicking the thumbtack (or "push pin" if you prefer) to pin a case note leaves the spinner spinning. The note is pinned, but you won't see such until you refresh the page. Same for unpinning a note. We'll go back to an immediate update when you click.
π’ LS-123793: Editing a Case Credit from the list view is not always populating the correct Amount value. It should. It will.
β‘ LS-124038: If you duplicate a charge in the Enhanced Charges block the record's UUID is also copied. Since the second "U" stands for "unique", this is suboptimal, so we'll stop doing that.
