2026-02-11 Release Notes
News
LegalServer locations worldwide will be closed on Monday 2026-02-16 for Washington's Day. A small, but determined, crew will be monitoring gauges and dials for signs of trouble.
Changes
👉 👉 Effective 2026-02-12 for demo sites, then 2026-02-20 for live sites. 👈 👈
🪄 API mavens should review the always-informative, interesting, and ever-changing API Changelog.
📡 LS-98191: Etransfers should transfer the value of Intake Type from the source case, and it should be there in the case created from the transfer, right? Why yes it should. But it may not be. Our bad. We're fixing it. And apologize for the key imprints left on your forehead after the third time you checked all the settings.
📜 LS-137986: If your grant filter expression is on "any of" a field with a bunch of values, scrolling the list (versus searching) may not show you all the values. We'll make it clear what's going on with a friendly and informative message like "Showing 100 of 348 options, filter to see additional options".
🚷 LS-138258: Expired Microsoft SSO credentials are causing hapless users to see a metric ton of text about why Microsoft won't authenticate them. We'll go back to the human friendly essentials so it is clear they need to contact their favorite Azure/Entra person.
⚠️ LS-138406: The Conflict Search Results block gets a new "Show Household Size Change Warning" configuration option. If you've configured the block to allow adding Non-Adverse Parties, and someone does, having that option checked will display "If the number of people in the household changes, please review the financial information on this case."
📅 LS-138584: Viewing your LegalServer events elsewhere is great. Unless you have thousands of events in your LS calendar. Enter the new Admin > Calendar Settings knobs to turn: "Count of past days to include in the iCal feed" and "Count of future days to include in the iCal feed". Both will default to 365 days.
⬇️ LS-138784: Reduce resource usage of Excel exports by approximately 33.337%.
🔍 LS-138935: If you filter the Batch Funding Code Update Tool list for Percentage of Poverty or County of Residence, you don't expect rows with "N/A" to be displayed. Expectations will be met. Bonus: We're adding a filter for Activity Type when you are batching timeslips.
↖️ LS-139028: Are you pulling data via the Reports API? Do you wish the data would honor your carefully chosen column formatting? Prepare to jump up and down with glee when you see the new "Use Report Column Formatting" option in a report's API configuration.
📡 LS-139250: The Remote Service Editor in Remote Cases is getting some improvements in how it displays long lines of text.
⭐ LS-139294: If you try to Create a New Case for Client, and check the box to Copy All Case Notes, and one of those notes links to a local file, instead of throwing an error at you, we're going to display a friendly and informative message telling you which file couldn't be copied, and then let you go on about your business with notes and any non-local files copied. Better for you. Better for us.
🫵 LS-139517: SharePoint user authentication isn't playing nice with certificates. We're adding sugar and spice to make it play nice.
🔗 LS-139592: The Schedule Reports list is getting a nice Link Only column for handy reference. Speaking of sending links, we're adding some HTML to the report links included in emails so even Microsoft Outlook will recognize a clickable link.
📅 LS-139613. If you change the Start Date of a Scheduled Report to a future date, the scheduling elves may see "missed" sends that lie between the old and new date. If they do, they get busy and send them. Elvish instructions are being updated to ignore such as human folly.
🖋️ LS-139674: It seems rude to not let users with the Pro Bono Restricted Access role sign up for clinic events for clinics they have been approved for. We're adjusting permissions so they can. And unsign up as well (de-sign up? un/sign up?)
🧙🏻 LS-139947: Team Infrastructure is adding magic sauce so database queries will be better distributed to read-only replicas, reducing the load on application servers that humans interact with.
🚒 👨🏼🚒 LS-139728: Changing a report name (or other things in Attributes) wasn't saving on demo sites. Fixed pushed out on 2026-02-11 at 2:00 PM Eastern. Live sites were not, and shall not be, affected.
LS5
Are you testing LS5? You may find the following useful, interesting, or both.
☎️ LS-136881: Editing a Contact's phone number in LS5 isn't saving your changes. Savings plan on the way.
🗣️ LS-137974: Accessibility: A list cell in LS5 that contains multiple values shows a value, then "+12 more" (or however many more values there are). But screen reader software still sees all the values and reads them to the hapless user. We will communicate better with screen readers.
⌚ LS-138480: The Timekeeping Log (you know, the list of timeslips on the main Timekeeping page on 99.2% of all sites) displays page and overall totals at the bottom of the Time Spent column in LS4. Not to be outdone, Team LS5 is adding the same.
📑 LS-138528: Got a lot of tabs in a tab row? Are you used to LS4 wrapping them so you can see all 15 tabs on the screen? Are you not enamored of the ">" you need to click to scroll to see all those tabs in LS5? Surely you will be pleased as punch to see the new Wrap Wide Tab Lists setting on the Admin > Site Settings page.
🔍 LS-138791: The Case field search on a timeslip is not returning all the results in LS5 that you see in LS4. Not only will it start doing that, but the results will be displayed in a nice scrollable list instead of requiring you click a "Next" link when there are lots of results.
🪵 LS-138905: Do you see a "Print This Timekeeping Log" link below the Timekeeping Log in LS5? Do you expect that clicking it will ultimately result in a PDF sporting your timeslips? Expectations will be met.
👉🏾 LS-139095: Clinic Event profiles in LS5 get an administrator Edit button (the equivalent of LS4's Admin menu > Edit Profile link).
🧙♂️ LS-139213: The filter editor is a modal dialog. Modal dialogs should float on top of other elements rather than being clipped to their parent. You read it here first.
👩🏻⚖️ LS-139366: Launching a Gavel workflow presents a popup window with important information and links in LS4. Not so poppy in LS5. We're generally deprecating popups in LS5 in favor of slide overs, so that's what we'll do here.
🌊 LS-139634: Flowblocks in LS5 have a lot of whitespace. Too much, some said, so we're reducing it. Also, feast your eyes on the subtle shadows for each "column" that get enthusiastic thumbs ups from all who've seen them.
📜 LS-140031: If you miss a required field in LS5, fix that, then scroll down and click Continue, the page scrolls back up to the top before saving and moving you along. Confusing. Confusion removal crew is on it.
